Aiming for a new Guinness World Record for the most participants in an Easter Egg Hunt…The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt includes 210 giant egg sculptures ‘hidden’ across central London. Each egg is uniquely designed, crafted and decorated by leading artists from around the world. Upon finding an egg, participants text its keyword for a chance to win the grand prize: the Fabergé Diamond Jubilee Egg worth more than £100,000. The prize egg is sculpted by the world-famous Jeweller to the Russian Royal Family, Fabergé, and it is solid 18k gold and is encrusted with diamonds and other precious gems. The egg sculptures are also available for sale through an online auction, and the top-selling bid so far has been £45,000. The hunt is all for a good cause…raising funds for two worthwhile charities, Elephant Family and Action for Children. Currently, all of the eggs have been gathered from their hiding places around London. The entire collection of eggs can be seen together in Covent Garden Piazza as The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt draws to a close on Monday 9 April 2012.
