Thousands of sea creatures in more than 2 million litres of water can be discovered while visiting the SEA LIFE London Aquarium. The aquarium is considered one of Europe’s largest collections of global marine life and contains 500 species from every part of the world. Sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, clownfish, octopus and even penguins can all be discovered within the aquarium’s fourteen themed zones with interactive feedings, diving displays and touch pools. The Shark Reef Encounter allows adventurous visitors to pass over sixteen sharks on a glass walkway while the dangerous creatures swim just inches below their feet. The new Penguins: Ice Adventure features a family of Gentoo Penguins and transports visitors to a research station in the ‘coldest and most inhospitable place on earth.’ Guests can journey through an icy landscape, explore freezing touch pools, and look at the world through snow goggles. Many of the aquarium’s creatures are on the endangered list, and some have been rescued and cannot be released into the wild or have been born and bred as part of the aquarium’s dedicated conservation project.
